At the beginning of May of this year we took a little trip
to our beloved San Francisco.
Enroute we stopped in Jolon,
about halfway up to SF and spend the night at the 'Hacienda'. The Hacienda
was Randolph's Hunting Lodge
and now a little motel.
The Mission 'San Antonio' is nearby and always worth a visit, more so
because it is off the beaten track.
The next day we crossed the
Santa Lucia Mountains leading to the Big Sur coast. It is a 30 mile, very
narrow,winding road, almost
like the Road to Hana on the
island of Maui. Not quite.
Big Sur was , as always,
beautiful. We arrived that night in Foster City in the Bay Area.
Hannlore and Juergen then
took us for a day to 'Ano Nuevo' State Park down the coast south of
Halfmoon Bay and the next day
to Angel Island. Angel Island
is an island within the San Francisco Bay. It was worth the trip.
